Ibis Vision
Ibis envisions a new paradigm for LGBTQ+ (and potentially other) Democratic candidates to win elections by utilizing comprehensive, data driven, thoughtful, analytic, and disciplined techniques and practices available today in the business (both corporate and entrepreneurial) and academic worlds —but often not found in traditional political campaigns. By using the full range of research and planning/development techniques found in business and academia (with a focus in the social sciences, data sciences, and mathematics/statistics), Ibis will work with campaigns to reimagine and fine tune how they identify, target, reach, and engage voters, helping to refine their current approach to marketing, advertising, branding, and voter outreach and engagement. With a team that consists of people with deep experience and expertise in the business and academic world (including marketing, communications, research, and planning/development techniques) Ibis structures its consultative support with candidates and deliverables through a business-focused strategic management and product/service management approach.
By moving above the fray, and re-thinking the paradigm, utilizing a “Blue Ocean”* strategic framework to apply these methodologies to campaigns, and by tapping into national leaders from business(both corporate and entrepreneurial) and academia, engaging with them for strategic and executional consultative and advisory support, Ibis envisions empowering campaigns to reach new levels among voters — ultimately, increasing the odds of winning elections on the margin.
The Ibis vision is to add incremental value and results, and thereby change the calculus from losses to wins for many political campaigns. Ibis views the future of LGBTQ+ (and other) Democratic campaigns as game-changers, introducing a paradigm shift in the fundamentals of campaign planning, practices, and results. Ibis’ role is to provide a blueprint for campaign management and execution, and to act as ongoing consultants/advisors as candidates and campaigns implement the plans collaboratively developed by Ibis, the candidates, and their staff.

Ibis Mission
The Ibis mission is to offer a think-tank/center of excellence, with a team of the best-of-the-best human talent from business and academia, supported by the best-of-the-best political advisors, who will work with campaigns to establish a new paradigm for how political campaigns in the U.S. are conceived, managed, and executed. The mission is based on the concept that quality and successful strategies, plans, tactics, and execution are created through in-depth data-driven research and analysis, structured strategy and planning development processes and measurements, and credentialed expertise in business/academic best-practices for going to market, using a science-based and credentialed-based footing (vs. opinion or emotionally-based).
The Ibis think tank empowers candidates and campaigns by equipping them with the necessary tools and strategic guidance to operate at an unprecedented level. At Ibis, the mission is to partner with campaigns to challenge the entrenched mythologies of traditional campaigns that may lack evidence-based foundations. Ibis strives to replace these practices with serious, professional, and rigorous methodologies firmly rooted in data, research, and disciplined strategic thinking.
The Ibis mission will be deemed “accomplished” when Democratic candidates for public office embrace and utilize state-of-the-art, data and research-driven strategy to form the foundation of their campaigns, and when this approach becomes the new standard for winning elections.
